Privacy Policy

SimpleSelfBudget · Last updated: July 4, 2026

SimpleSelfBudget is built to keep your financial data private. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

SimpleSelfBudget does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party servers. Your budgets and expenses stay on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your own private Apple iCloud account.

What data the app stores

The app stores the information you enter — your budgets, expenses, categories, and settings. This data is kept locally on your device using Apple's on-device database.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud Drive is enabled, the app syncs your data across your own devices using Apple's CloudKit private database. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account, is accessible only to you, and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer of SimpleSelfBudget has no access to it and cannot see it.

You can disable this at any time by turning off iCloud for SimpleSelfBudget in the iOS Settings app.

What the app does NOT do

Import and export

You can import and export your expenses as CSV files. These files are created and read on your device and are shared only when and where you choose. The app does not upload them anywhere.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy
